Founded in 1970 by Crystal Field, and located in New York's East Village, Theater for the New City is a one-of-a-kind cultural hub that has garnered a national reputation for its commitment to supporting established and emerging playwrights who experiment with new forms, and for presenting other experimental and developmental theater makers through an active program of community art services and festivals.
