The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is a musical adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1922 short story, reimagined with a British twist. Set in a small Cornish fishing village, the narrative follows Benjamin Button, a man born with the appearance and ailments of an elderly individual who ages backward through the decades. His unique journey explores themes of love, identity, and the inexorable passage of time. ​

The production features a folk-inspired score by Darren Clark and a book by Jethro Compton, who also directs.

The production secured three accolades at the 2025 Olivier Awards, including Best New Musical, Best Actor in a Musical for John Dagleish, and Outstanding Musical Contribution for Darren Clark and Mark Aspinall.
