Set across two distant time periods, Precipice explores the intersections of environmental collapse, memory, and survival. In the present, a biomedical crisis forces a young couple to seek shelter on the banks of the Thames, grappling with personal responsibility in the face of disaster. 

The musical marks the debut production from the newly formed company Timelapse and is directed by the company’s Artistic Director Adam Lenson (Cable Street, The Sorrows of Satan). It was created collaboratively by a team of emerging and established music theatre artists, including Stu Barter (Talkshow), Rachel Bellman (These Demons), Olivier Award-winning composer Darren Clark (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), Annabelle Lee Revak (Windsong), and Shaye Poulton Richards (Lies All the Way Down). Designer Libby Todd (Public Domain) provides set and costume design, with Lia Buddle producing.

Developed with support from New Diorama Theatre’s Intervention01 programme, the show continues the venue’s commitment to producing formally ambitious, socially engaged new work.
