About the Show

A hero's quest to rescue a princess reveals a battle between a vengeful queen and a wise leader.

A prince, enlisted by the Queen of the Night, embarks on a quest to rescue her daughter from the supposedly evil Sarastro, with the bird-catcher Papageno as his companion. Their journey takes an unexpected turn when they discover that Sarastro is, in fact, a benevolent leader. To prove their worth, Tamino and Papageno must face a series of three trials. Successful completion of these ordeals leads to enlightenment and the reward of true love, uniting Tamino with the princess and Papageno with his ideal partner, Papagena.
