About the Show

Dickie Beau channels stage legends in a solo lip-sync collage tracing theatre’s deep history.

In this solo piece, Dickie Beau uses his distinctive lip-sync technique to channel voices like Ian McKellen, Peter Sellars, and Fiona Shaw in a multimedia reflection on performance history—from ancient drama to modern drag.

Premiered at Theatre Royal Bath in 2022, the work is created and performed by Beau, known for roles such as Oscar Wilde (The Invention of Love) and Botticelli (Botticelli in the Fire), and directed by longtime collaborator Jan-Willem van den Bosch.

Presented by Hampstead Theatre with Ustinov Studio, Theatre Royal Bath, the show runs on the Main Stage.
