Retired NYPD officer Walter "Pops" Washington is facing eviction from his rent-controlled apartment on Riverside Drive. Grappling with a lawsuit against the police department, Pops has to navigate strained relationships with his ex-con son, Junior, and a motley group of friends. As the specter of tragedy looms, the Pops & Junior confront issues of race, justice, and family dynamics.
