A powerful, multi-sensory exploration of Miriam Freedman’s true story, blending mixed media, live music, and physical theatre to create a deeply moving experience. Directed by Ben Caplan, the piece recounts Miriam’s harrowing childhood in Slovakia during the Holocaust, where she and some of her family lived in hiding, and follows her later life in London, where yoga and meditation became vital tools in confronting the trauma and grief of her past.
Through a combination of personal testimony, audio and video footage, and evocative performances, the production weaves together Miriam’s younger and older selves, offering a poignant and surprising look at her journey toward healing.
