A night out in Manchester becomes a turning point for a working-class teen bound for Oxford.
Tommy, a working-class teen from Manchester, is about to leave for Oxford—the first in his family to go to university. On his last night out in the city, he wrestles with what he's leaving behind and what lies ahead.
The play features Tom Claxton in a solo performance. It is written by Nick Dawkins and directed by Izzy Edwards (assistant director, The Time Traveller’s Wife, Storyhouse Chester; dramaturg, anthropology, Hampstead Theatre).
Presented by Cloudburst Productions Ltd, the show was a sell-out hit at the Edinburgh Fringe and VAULT Festival 2023. It won the Pleasance Pick of VAULT Festival Award and was nominated for Off Fest.
