Facings: The Musical tells the story of Emma, an idealistic Asian-American entrepreneur striving to launch her organic kefir brand, and Javier, a Colombian journalist seeking asylum while working at an upscale natural foods store. As Emma battles a ruthless competitor and a predatory store manager, she finds an unexpected ally in Javier. Their connection deepens as they navigate personal and professional challenges, with Javier torn between his need for safety and his longing to return to his homeland and family.​
