Roger is divorced, demoted, and drifting—lost in a time that no longer makes sense. When an online personality offers clarity, he plunges headlong into a digital rabbit hole. Angry Alan is a dark, sharply funny solo piece exploring how far one man will go—and how much he’ll lose—for validation in a world where “everybody’s changing the rules.”

Written by Penelope Skinner, Angry Alan is directed by Tony Award‑winner Sam Gold (Romeo + Juliet, An Enemy of the People). This production marks the inaugural staging at Off‑Broadway’s Studio Seaview (previously the Tony Kiser Theatre).

Six‑time Emmy-nominated John Krasinski stars as Roger in his New York stage return since Dry Powder in 2016. Known for The Office, A Quiet Place, and the Jack Ryan franchise, Krasinski calls his role in Angry Alan as “one of the most terrifying—and exhilarating—things I’ve done.”
