Gilbert & Sullivan’s beloved operetta gets a bold new twist in Pirates! The Penzance Musical, a rollicking reimagining that drops anchor in the heart of New Orleans. The tongue-twisting Major General, the swaggering Pirate King, and a crew of footloose daughters, lovers, and lawmen are reimagined with Caribbean rhythms and French Quarter flair in this fresh take on one of theatre’s most enduring comedies.

This new Broadway production stars Ramin Karimloo (Les Misérables, Funny Girl), Jinkx Monsoon (Chicago, Little Shop of Horrors), and David Hyde Pierce (Hello, Dolly!, Frasier), under the direction of Scott Ellis (Kiss Me, Kate, Doubt: A Parable) with choreography by Warren Carlyle and a new adaptation by Rupert Holmes (The Mystery of Edwin Drood).

Presented by Roundabout Theatre Company, this adaptation of Gilbert & Sullivan’s classic operetta blends high-camp comedy, razor-sharp lyrics, Caribbean rhythms, and French Quarter jazz!
